Device identifier. On first launch, the app generates a random, anonymous device ID stored only on your device. This ID is sent to our server at intervals to let us show an aggregate count of devices currently using the app. It is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and cannot be used to identify you.
Device platform. Whether you're on iOS or Android, sent alongside the device identifier above for the same purpose.
Language preference. Your chosen display language is stored locally on your device so the app opens in the right language next time.
Cached content list. A copy of the channel list is cached locally on your device so the app remains usable when your connection is briefly unavailable.
Notification token. If you allow notifications, Apple or Google issues your device an anonymous token so we can send app-wide announcements. It identifies a device, not a person, and we do not use it to message you individually.

Your saved pictures (Favourites). When you tap the heart on a picture, the app records that picture's number on your device only. This list is never sent to our server and never leaves your phone. We cannot see what you have saved.

The limited information described above is used solely to:

Operate and maintain the app (e.g. showing content, remembering your language setting).

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not run any third-party advertising or analytics SDKs inside the app.

3. Content Streaming

Kanal TV displays TV channel content sourced from third-party providers. When you watch a channel, your device connects directly to the relevant streaming source to play it. We do not host or store video content on our own servers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party streaming sources your device connects to while playing a channel.

Every picture in the app is published by us and served from our own server. Your device downloads a picture only in order to display it to you. There is no upload feature in the app, no comments, and no way for one user to send anything to another — so nothing you do in the app is visible to anyone else.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the app. The anonymous device identifier and platform described in Section 1 are stored on our own server and are not shared with third parties, except where required by law.

5. Data Retention

Device identifier records are kept only as long as needed to calculate current usage, and are not retained as a historical log of individual device activity.

6. Children's Privacy

Kanal TV is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate action.

Since the app doesn't use an account system, there's no profile data to access or delete. If you have questions about the anonymous device identifier described above, or would like it removed from our records, contact us and we'll assist you.
